Visit the Houston Independent School District jobs site and click "Search Jobs." Check the "Instructional Support Staff" box to find current associate teacher openings.

    Valid Work Authorization

    • You must be able to legally work in the U.S. in order to become an associate teacher in Houston. You must present valid identification, such as a driver's license, and a valid Social Security number at your first interview.

    High School Diploma or GED

    • All associate teaching positions require at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Based on the individual job posting, some positions may require a two- or four-year degree.

    Two Letters of Recommendation
