A money tree is a way for people to give a gift of money, but to also help decorate for the baby shower. Use a real tree and allow people to add a bill to a leaf by paper clipping it on so it doesn't hurt the tree. Use a small tree that the bride-to-be can use to decorate her new home. Since everyone is putting money on the tree, no one knows how much another person gave, which means that cards need to be put towards the base of the tree. Tie a bright white bow around the trunk of the tree or use the bride's wedding colors.

Pick a theme for the money tree, like bachelorette or leopard print. Wrap the tree in leopard print ribbon or another color. Make faux leaves that are the same print as well. This can be used as a centerpiece on the table, but make sure it isn't so big that it blocks the line of view from person to person. If the guests are all okay with the money tree then this is a decoration everyone can enjoy. Since the money is given anonymously and placed on the tree no one will know who gave what.

This also allows people to write checks and special notes to the bride-to-be. Then they seal up the envelope and place it on the tree as a leaf. You can get colored envelopes so they are all green or the colors the bride has chosen for her wedding.
