Wedding Centerpiece Projects
A reception ties into the overall experience of a wedding. A consistent theme can only happen if the reception, including decorations, fit the wedding's theme. The centerpiece on each table is one of the most important decorations your guests will notice. When planning the wedding, carefully consider these centerpiece projects for your reception decorations.

Outdoor Reception Centerpieces
-
Weddings that take place outdoors can include a reception that reflects the celebration. When planning table decorations, visualize table centerpieces that reflect exotic outdoor locations such as beaches or islands.
A table centerpiece can consist of a glass cylinder or box filled with sea shells and water (and perhaps a floating candle on top). Custom-made centerpieces such as sand castles, sailboats or lighthouses also enhance the feel of an outdoor wedding and reception.
Elegant Reception Centerpieces
-
Elegant weddings should have equally luxurious receptions. The table decorations, including centerpieces, should reflect the overall glamorous theme. Elegant centerpieces can include a combination of several fancy decorations, such as floral arrangements, crystal glasses or vases, and candles.
A centerpiece can include roses, tulips, orchids and lilies in an intricate bouquet that matches the wedding's colors. The crystal glass or vase can be engraved with the wedding couple's name along with a fancy design. The rest of the table can be decorated in loose petals from the flowers and Swarovski crystals.

Personal-Themed Centerpieces
-
Couples can use wedding table centerpieces to add a personal touch to the reception. Unique from traditional centerpieces, a personal centerpiece is romantic and thoughtful at the same time.
For example, if the wedding couple are artists, the centerpiece can be small custom-made art pieces or paintings. A sports-loving couple can opt for a centerpiece that includes trinkets from their favorite sports team, such as mini helmets with flowers in them or mini basketballs painted the same color as the wedding theme.
Seasonal Centerpieces
-
Seasonal centerpieces reflect the time of year in which the wedding takes place. When planning a centerpiece project, think of items that are reflective of the season. A winter wedding can include items such as pine cones, cinnamon sticks and artificial snow.
An autumn-inspired wedding can include a crystal bowl centerpiece with red, orange and brown leaves with autumn-colored candles.
A spring or summer wedding can include an edible arrangement of fresh fruits such as flower-shaped pineapple and melons, or a combination of fresh fruit and bright flowers such as colorful daisies, and fuchsia and pink hibiscus flowers.
