Ideas for Thank You Gifts for Parents of the Bride & Groom
Writing thank you notes and sending thank you gifts to guests of your wedding may seem overwhelming, but the task is only limited by your own imagination and creativity. When giving a gift to the bride or groom's parents, you have plenty of options, depending on their interests and hobbies as well as your own preferences. From creating a personalized thank you note to sending your parents a customized wedding photo or album, there are plenty of gifts to choose.
-
Personalized Note
-
Create a personalized thank you note to give to both the bride and groom's parents. You can purchase card stock or scrapbook paper from local craft stores or online, along with stencils, ink, and stamps. Wedding-themed stickers and pre-made note templates may also be available to purchase for decorating.
Using the stickers, stamps, and other wedding accessories, decorate the card before typing and printing (or writing) a special message on the card to each set of parents thanking them for their wedding gifts and support.
Customized Photo Frame or Album
-
Visit a local engraving or personalized gift store to have a photo frame or album of your choice engraved with your thank you message. You can also purchase your own blank photo frames to paint or decorate personally before placing a photograph inside. Add a photo from your wedding day to give to each set of parents along with the photo frame or custom album.
You can also tape a special printed message to the back of the frame you are customizing. If you create your own wooden frame, use wood carving to engrave the parents' names or a special message.

Custom Keepsake or Poem
-
Depending on your ideas and level of creativity, you can create a keepsake poem or a memory poem to remind your parents of the wedding day or your lives together. Type up your own poem, adding it to your own custom photo frame, or have the entire poem engraved onto personal items or a specific plaque especially for the poem.
A Night Out
-
Plan for a special night out for each set of parents, both the bride's and the groom's. You can purchase event tickets for a specific venue depending on your parents' preferences and interests, as well as their location. Reserve a dinner or have the bill taken care of for your parents for their night out.
If you can afford to splurge, you can also include spa gift cards as well as sporting event tickets or gift cards for your parents' favorite stores.
