Wedding Day Afro Hairstyles
A wedding day is one of the most special days in a person's life. A bride who has naturally curly hair can have a challenge when it comes to styling her hair. Among the styles a woman with very curly hair might consider is the classic afro hairstyle. The afro became popular in the 1970s, and you can adapt it to wedding hairstyles. Does this Spark an idea?

Bobbed Afro
-
A short, basic afro hairstyle for a bride on her wedding day is the bobbed afro. The hair is cut short, often around the length of the chin or shorter. The short length results in an afro which puffs up around the head. Add a tiara, flowers or other accessories to make the afro style elegant and classic.
Pinned Back Afro
-
The pinned back afro hairstyle allows the puffy afro look in the back, but the hair lies flat on the front of the head. The hair can be braided in a design in front or pinned with a flower or other clip. The pinned back style allows for creativity in the look of the smooth front of the hair.

Side Parted Afro
-
Part your hair to one side and allow the afro to emerge from the part. This will result in an afro which is to one side. Add a flower, tiara or any preferred decoration to complete the style and keep the part crisp. Smoothe the other side of the hair down close to your head.
Long Afro Style
-
An afro for longer hair will not get as high as the short, bobbed afro style. It creates as basic afro appearance, but is low on the head rather than high. Comb the hair back to eliminate any parts. Fasten with a clip and allow the hair to fall forward to frame the face for a curly afro appearance.
