The Appalachian Mountains in Georgia feature such attractions as Vogel State Park in Blairsville, Amicalola Falls State Park near Dawsonville and the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. Within Chattahoochee is Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest point. Visitors to its peak, at an elevation of 4,784 feet, can see Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. Many of these attractions offer visitors the opportunity to swim, hike and picnic.
