Among the four major sports, NFLers are the lowest paid, earning $2 million annually, on average. Playing in a professional league overseas can be lucrative; the average player's salary in the Indian Premier League, a cricket organization, is $4.2 million. Players in the English Premier League, a soccer league, earn an average salary of $3.5 million.
