Welsh Crafts to Make
Many craft project ideas are available with popular symbols of the people of Wales that include the Welsh dragon, love spoon, Celtic knots, daffodils and leeks. Woodworking, needle working, making scrapbooks, jewelry making and kid's crafts are some examples of the types of craft projects you can make with these Welsh symbols for holidays and events.

Welsh Dragon

The Welsh dragon is the symbol of pride in the culture of the Welsh nation, and appears on the Welsh flag. Welsh dragon counted cross-stitch and embroidery kits are available for download and purchase (see References), most with the traditional design of the red dragon. Sew finished cross-stitch or embroidery projects onto pillows, or frame them in picture frames to hang on the wall. Daffodil and Leek

The Welsh celebrate St. David's Day, the patron saint of the British Isles, with imagery of their emblem, the daffodil and the leek. Make finished projects into wall hangings, framed or sewn onto linens such as table runners and pillows. Have children make a leek vase out of green and white foam, rolled into the shape of a leek, with a base glued to the bottom.
