Earning a bachelor's degree grants several career opportunities for graduates. In business, earning a degree in management provides options in multiple industries. Many career options hold a wealth of responsibility and duty. However, the courses taken to earn business management bachelor's degree adequately prepares an individual for the job at hand.

  1. Human Resources Manager

    • A human resource manager oversees a specific component of a company's human resource department. For example; a Benefits and Compensation HR manager oversees year end bonuses, salary compensation, and wage raises. A recruiting HR manager oversees the activity of recruiters, as they lure potential employees into the company. A human resource manager's duties may change due to the size of the organization. In any case, the HR manager reports to the Director and/or VP of Human Resources.

    General / Operations Manager

    • An operations manager performs multiple roles and jobs within an organization. Although the job description is unique to the organization, an operations manager is generally responsible for providing a smooth work experience for the organization's other departments. An operations manager is responsible for inventory management, and that inventory received is properly stored and distributed among all employees. The operations manager also ensures the company is able to run its daily operations without hindrance.

    Staff Accountant

    • A staff accountant is an accounting position which utilizes a bachelor's degree in management. The staff accountant is typically required to maintain the company's general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts. This also entails posting and preparing opening, adjusting and closing entries. The staff accountant also prepares financial statements that displays the company's income balance sheet and cash flow. The accountant also oversees and maintains accounts payable and receivable. All cash management including preparing wire transfers, invoices, wire transfers and loan packages is handled by an accountant.

    Financial Controller

    • A financial controller is responsible for a business' accounting activities. The career requires the controller to manage an organization's finances. Various duties of the financial controller includes financial planning, preparing financial statements, budgeting and internal controls among other things. In smaller companies, the financial controller may also be involved in daily bookkeeping and human resource-related functions. The financial controller must maintain compliance with current accounting rules and regulations, including taxation rules and reporting rules.
