Choosing the right wedding colors to suit your winter-themed wedding will set the tone for the decorations and bridal attire. Winter colors tend to be darker or simulate cold, like blue and white for ice. Dark shades of red, purple, brown, gray and silver are also winter colors.

Cinnamon is a shade of brown that complements the color purple. For best results, use aubergine purple with cinnamon. Dress bridesmaids in both colors, and add a pop of both colors to the bridal gown by wrapping aubergine and cinnamon sashes around the bride's waist. Use flowers like lavender, lilacs and hydrangea wrapped in cinnamon-colored ribbon with a few white roses for bouquets and centerpieces. Alternatively, for centerpieces, use clear vases and put brown rocks or gems in the bottom before placing the flowers in the vase.
