Good Science Research Projects
Researching information is a skill developed during primary education and continued through college. Research is possible in all subjects including English, math and science. While taking a science course, whether it is biology, geology or chemistry, you may be required to conduct a research project.

Genetics

Many physical traits are determined by genetics, such as height, eye or hair color, attached or detached ear lobes and dimples. Everyone gets half their DNA (which provide the genetic codes) from their mother and half from their mother, but how they mix to create a unique human being is a complex science. Research the theories on genetics to explain them and understand how they work. Then, choose a few traits and tally data from you, your siblings, parents and grandparents to see how genetics determined these factors.
Fossils

Fossils are the remains of creatures that died millions of years ago and formed as a result of time passing and compressing the creature or a volcano eruption trapping the insect in a rock. Write a research paper about fossils and how they contribute to science developments. Explain the different types of fossils and, if possible, collect some fossils to show or get photos of some historical fossils showcased in museums.

Chemical Reactions

Research different kinds of chemicals and how they are classified. Describe the reactions each classification has with another. Display the findings through a popular project -- a volcano that erupts when baking soda and vinegar are mixed together. Add some red food coloring for dramatic effect.
Plant Growth

Study the varying classifications of plants and what each needs to grow. Explain the different functions of each part of the plant. To fulfill the project portion, go somewhere with a variety of plant species and conduct tests on the soil to determine which nutrients are present. Compare these to locations where the plant is thriving better.
