Welcome Back Teammates
-
Welcome students back with a team spirit-themed bulletin board. Use green paper to cover the board and white paper to make touchdown goals at the end of the board. Post football-themed trim around the edges, or if your school does not have a football team use a soccer or basketball border with school colors. Post slogans around the board such as "Refuse to Lose," "We Are In This Together" and "Bringing Out The Best In Each Other." Encouraging slogans focused on team work will encourage new and returning students.
Mascot Welcome
-
Design a welcome back bulletin board, focused on the school mascot. Prior to the first day of school, create a 3-D model of the mascot head that is small enough to fit in the center of the board. Use school colors to cover the board, and attach the head to the board using staples, tape or tacks. Staple pictures of the mascot in action at different team events such as at baseball and football games, posing with teachers and doing silly stunts. Print or use stapled letters and put the mascot's name and a welcome note such as, "Welcome To My Team" under the 3-D head.

Home Team Playing Field
-
Center the bulletin board around staff and the school. Cover the board and trim in school colors, and at the top of the bulletin board staple a sign that says, "Home Team Playing Field." Staple pictures of all the staff members on the bulletin board. Depending on the number of teachers and staff; several boards can be made using this theme and placed in the halls of the appropriate grade levels.
Kick Off to a Good Year
-
Center the board around soccer and the slogan, "Kick Off for a Great Year." Cover the board in astro-turf or green paper and include goals on both ends. Cut out soccer balls and label them with teacher names, soccer slogans and grade levels. Post pictures of the school soccer team on the board along with a sign-up sheet to encourage children to get involved right away with a team sport.
