Biblical Prophecy Lessons
The bible is full of prophecies that speak of events that Christians believe are still to come. These prophecies are often addressed in bible study courses and church services through lessons that help students of the bible translate and better understand the prophecies as they relate to the Christian religion.

America In Prophecy
-
Certain prophecies in the Christian bible seem to relate directly to the United States. A common lesson that is taught when it comes to American prophecy relates to the belief that the United States was selected by God to be the strongest nation on the earth and that is the cause of its power and affluance. Studies include the book of Isaiah 61:1 in which it states that Jesus would "proclaim liberty to the captives" and the correlation between such prophecies and the fact that the poor and downtrodden from other nations have turned to the United States for freedom and prosperity.
The Seven Signs of the Apocalyps
-
Another commonly studied prophecy lesson taught in the Christian religion relates to the seven signs of the apocalypse. According to the book of Revelations, God will issue seven signs to the people of the world that are meant to indicate that the end of times is near. Some of the signs of the apocalypse include famines, a rise in earthquakes, an increase in wars and rumors of wars and a false prophet that will deceive many with his words and actions.

The Antichrist
-
Also from the book of Revelations comes the prophecy of the Antichrist. Chaper 13 of the book of Revelations speaks of an Antichrist, whose appearance will signal the end of the world. Lessons relating to the Antichrist include the bible's interpretation of when the Antichrist will appear, his place of origin, how to identify him and the features of his religion. There is also a great deal of study regarding the possible name of the Antichrist and how his arrival will effect the world.
The Rapture
-
The study of the rapture, often referred to as the end of the world or armageddon, relates to what Christians believe will occur after the appearance of the Antichrist and when Jesus returns to earth. Thessalonians 4:17 is commonly used as a base of study, which states that those who believe in God will be chosen to accompany him into heaven for eternal life and those who do not believe in him will be left behind to perish. A key point in the study of the Rapture is how Christians can go about ensuring eternal life by following God through the biblical study of His word.
