Institutions with the NCCA curriculum are available in several U.S. states.

Some Christian colleges, universities and seminaries use a curriculum that is produced by the National Christian Counselors Association. These schools offer ministry degrees to students who complete the course requirements. Institutions are located in several U.S. states including Georgia, Colorado, Maryland, Louisiana and Florida. According to NCCA, Christian Counselors with advanced certification can work in the areas of marriage and family; abuse and crisis; children and adolescents; and domestic violence.

  1. Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary

    • Andersonville Theological Seminary (ATS) is a non-profit organization that offers associate, bachelor's, master's and doctor degrees in Biblical Studies, Divinity and Christian Education, as well as a master's in Pastoral Counseling. Located in Camilla, Georgia, all of the courses are available online. ATS is certified with NCCA, an affiliate of the Institute of Theological Studies, a member of the U.S. Distance Learning Association, the Association of Christian Distance Education and the Council of Private Colleges of American. Although the seminary is Baptist in its doctrine and practices, students of any denomination may attend. ATS uses the King James Version of the Bible in its teachings.

    Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary

    • Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary is located in Ridgely, Maryland and offers studies in Religious Education, Theology, Christian Counseling and Christian Living and Ministry. A few of the degrees offered by Chesapeake Bible include Diploma of Ministry, Associate or Bachelor of Christian Ministry, Master of Religious Education, Pastoral Counseling, or Biblical Counseling, and Doctor of Clinical Pastoral Counseling or Religious Education. Courses are offered on campus in traditional classroom format as well as through correspondence. Chesapeake Bible is accredited through the Accrediting Commission International and must annually report to the Commission to renew its accreditation. The institution is certified with the Maryland Higher Education Commission, NCCA and the Association of Christian Schools International. The school also was fully accredited and affiliated with the Oxford Educational Network in 2008.

    Cornerstone University and Calvary Theological Seminary

    • Cornerstone University and Calvary Theological Seminary are located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees are offered in Religious Education, Church Administration, Theology, Ministry and Christian Counseling Psychology. Cornerstone is an independent private institution that offers both classroom and off-campus instruction. Students have typically completed a bachelor's program from an educational institute and are continuing their studies in their selected field at Cornerstone. Certified by NCCA, it is also accredited with the Accrediting Commission International.

    Other Institutions

    • Other schools with the NCCA curriculum include Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Florida; Colorado Theological Seminary in Colorado; and Central Christian University with locations in several areas of the United States, plus Africa, Asia, Europe and the West Indies.
