Secret Santa Gifts for Teachers
Secret Santa is a game where a group of people get together and each person agrees to randomly draw a co-player's name from a hat. You then become that person's "Secret Santa," and are responsible for buying him a gift; the game is usually played with a set price limit in mind. If the person whose name you drew is an educator, then you might want to consider some teacher-oriented gifts.

Coffee or Tea Basket
-
Teachers maintain early work schedules, and many of them enjoy a little caffeine boost to get them going first thing in the morning. If your teacher is a fan of coffee or tea, then a basket with her choice of beverage in it can make a great gift. There are many varieties you can utilize for this theme, including baskets with French presses, baskets with candy, chocolate or other foods, or simple baskets with bags of tea or coffee. Remain within your allotted budget, though. If a gift basket is too expensive, simply purchase a gourmet bag of coffee or box of tea and wrap it nicely.
Books
-
It's not uncommon for teachers to be avid readers, and if the teacher you've selected happens to be a fan of the written word, then consider giving him a novel by his favorite author. Inquire subtly if there are any books that he has been wanting to read; if that doesn't work, best sellers are often safe bets, as are subscriptions to educational magazines. If you still can't decide on the perfect story, give him a gift card to a nearby bookstore.

Custom Candies
-
Many people love candy, but to add a personal touch to your gift, consider giving your Secret Santa custom candies. Many online retailers, including printcandies.com, mymms.com and celebrationcandy.com, will put a photo or short message onto the candies themselves. Learn which type of candies your teacher likes and have them personalized so that she can enjoy both looking at and eating them.
#1 Teacher
-
There are all kinds of gifts that display the classic "#1 Teacher" logo, so pick one that your teacher would appreciate. Consider hats, t-shirts, coffee mugs, ornaments, charms, paper pads and many more. Keep in mind, though, that the gift would be more attractive if it is an item that the teacher needs or enjoys.
Classroom Items
-
Sometimes, a practical gift is the best solution. Fill a basket with items that your teacher will need for his classroom, including chalk, pencils, pens, paper, dry erase markers or erasers. You can also give decorative gifts to help liven up the classroom, especially if the teacher is new to the profession. Educationally themed posters, pictures or decals are excellent additions to any classroom.
