Seating
-
Home theater seating can have a wide range of seats, but the individual seats with arms and a place to put snacks and drinks is part of the movie theater experience and is a possible option for a home theater. The home theater can have plush and overstuffed leather seats with a reclining option or can have seats similar to a theater out of the home with the seats that fold upward, but usually have more padding for comfort. It can also have comfortable couches, recliners or living room furniture as preferred.
Projector Screen
-
A home theater can have a projector screen rather than a TV. A movie theater projects the image onto a large screen which is often bigger than a big screen TV. When the theater is not is use, the screen can be pulled up. It is possible to use a large TV if preferred.

Bulbs for projectors will usually last more than a year at a time, though there is some variation depending on how often the projector is used.
Sound System
-
A good home theater needs a home surround sound system. Set up of surround sound varies depending on the specific speakers and the type of speakers. Surround sound can either have hidden, small speakers which are not seen in the room or large speakers which are part of the theater decoration.
Snacks
-
A home concession stand can complete the feel of a theater. There are home popcorn machines available or a home theater might have a small cabinet for movie snacks with microwave popcorn, chips, candies and any preferred drink options in a mini-fridge. Healthy snacks are also an option in a home theater, such as fruits, vegetables or low-salt popcorn.
