Office Holiday Party Entertainment Ideas
Holiday office parties proliferate, especially at Christmastime. People are generally in a merry mood and the excitement becomes contagious. It's more festive to move the party away from the office where there is the constant reminder of work. Employers can use this opportunity to boost morale and build employee relationships. Employees appreciate feeling valued and esteemed. Does this Spark an idea?

Exchange Experiences
-
Draw names and find out what the person whose name you draw enjoys. During the week before the party, find a way share the experience with the person and bring to the Christmas party the pictures or videos of the outing. Share with everyone while you narrate what you learned about the person.
Research Name
-
Draw names and research the meaning of the person's name you drew. Then find a gift that relates to the name's meaning. For example, the name Belle means beautiful, so you can give the person something beautiful, such as a scarf or comb for her hair, and write in a card how the gift symbolizes the meaning of the name.

Casino Night
-
Find companies that rent casino equipment--poker and blackjack tables, roulette wheels, poker chips and slot machines. Some companies can even provide professional dealers. Set up a room and decorate it to look like a casino. Hang a customized casino banner and use flashing dollar signs. You can even provide ongoing entertainment on a stage. Winnings can be traded for gifts.
Awards Night
-
Stage an awards night reminiscent of the Oscars with the red carpet entry and photographers on hand to take pictures. Give awards to employees for outstanding performance. There should be an emcee who announces awards for different categories, such as consistent early arrival at work or stays late to finish assignments or brought in the best goodies. They don't have to be serious. Everyone should receive an award for something. Make the awards as humorous as possible.
