Kaplan GRE Courses

GRE courses at Kaplan are available online.

Students who apply for admission at some graduate schools must take the Graduate Record Examination. A standardized text, the GRE measures verbal and quantitative reasoning and critical and analytical writing skills developed over the course of previous education and life experience. An online university, Kaplan provides preparatory classes for students planning to take the GRE. For students preferring a more traditional classroom setting, different locations around the United States and Canada provide that type of experience, as well as one-on-one tutoring. Kaplan will help you find the location nearest you. You can choose four different ways to take the courses and prices vary with your choice.

  1. GRE Advantage on Demand

    • A series of courses available 24 hours a day, the GRE Advantage on Demand offers eight teaching sessions. Courses include four verbal and four quantitative classes in addition to six courses preparing for the CATs, or computer adaptive tests. Electing to take this course also provides students with a math refresher, biology, psychology and a quiz bank. GRE faculty members provide online video instruction.

    GRE Advantage, Classroom Anywhere

    • GRE Advantage, Classroom Anywhere provides eight sessions that include four verbal and four quantitative courses, as well as six courses preparing for the CATs. It also provides a course to orient the student to the online classroom. The number of class hours for these courses add up to 130. The online classroom includes audio, video, instant chat, whiteboard and screen sharing. Kaplan's technology program tailors homework assignments to individual students' needs. Kaplan provides free make-up sessions for maximum flexibility.

    GRE Advantage Onsite

    • Offered at various locations in the United States and Canada, GRE Advantage Onsite includes four verbal and four quantitative courses, as well as six courses preparing for the CATs. There are extensive outside resources and practice in addition to the 130 class hours. Instructor-led courses make up the standard format, with make-up sessions available online for missed class or for reinforcement.

    GRE One-on-One Private Tutoring

    • The GRE One-on-One Tutoring course offers packages of 15, 25 and 35 hours as well as additional hours if needed. The online courses are also available for additional practice. Students set their own pace and schedule with a tutor.
