Prepare a centerpiece as lovely as you.

Put your creativity to work as you make your own wedding centerpiece. Use items around your home or repurpose items for containers. Use your imagination as you design your centerpiece focusing on the color theme of your wedding. Anything is fair game when making your centerpiece, so consider previous holiday decorations for the design.

  1. Sea Scape

    • Add an uneven layer of white sand to the bottom third of a fishbowl. Pick several different types of white and pearl-colored shells, such as the pearl nautilus, spider conch, starfish sand dollar. Arrange these in the sand as you stand up the starfish or sea dollar to highlight their design, while the other shells are tilted to see their features. Nestle a white candle into the center of the sand. Place it on the table.

    Feathers & Balls

    • Spray paint a wicker basket white and add plant foam to one side. Fill the rest with purple metallic Christmas balls. Pick large stalks of lilac, pink or cream flowers with multiple heads from your garden. Choose ones that are fragrant with a sweet smell. Add them to the plant foam and dangle some over the edges of the basket. Blow up purple and white balloons with matching ribbon ties. Wrap the ribbons around the handle of the basket and make one bow at the base.

    Fresh Flowers

    • Gather five juice glasses and one vase together. Wrap a piece of black velvet around each of the glasses and the vase. Gather the material at the top and tie it together with a bright ribbon that matches the color of the flowers. Add two gold rings to the ends of each ribbon. Place short pieces of shrubbery into the five juice glasses and fresh flowers cut from your garden into the vase. Place the vase in the center of the table and surround it with the juice glasses of shrubbery.

    Fruit

    • Purchase and clean strawberries, green grapes and purple grapes. Stick the fruit onto bamboo skewers. Clean an old glass mayonnaise jar and tape a stencil to it of interlocking rings, wedding bells or the wedding date. Frost the glass with spray paint. Wrap ribbon around the neck of the jar and tie it into a large bow. Arrange the sticks of fruit inside the jar. Place a small bowl of whipped cream or powdered sugar close by.
