According to most business degree ratings, including those compiled by The Economist and Forbes magazines, the best business schools are located in America. The best American business schools include such well-known names as the Booth School of Business of the University of Chicago, Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business. However, the lists of top business schools also include a number of business schools outside the U.S. These institutions issue international business degrees.

  1. INSEAD

    • INSEAD, located in Fontainebleau, France, is the best international business school, according to a 2010 rating by Businessweek magazine. It stated that 86 percent of its MBA program graduates received job offers while the post-MBA pay stood at $111,900. INSEAD offers a one-year MBA program. The tuition fees stand at $68,107. In addition, 92 percent of the students are international, with 41 percent coming from Western Europe and 14 percent coming from North America.

    Queen's University School of Business

    • The Queen's School of Business of the Queen's University is the second-best international business school, according to a 2010 Businessweek rating. The school, located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, offers a one-year MBA program that costs $71,000 to complete. After, graduation, the average post-MBA student can expect to receive about $77,944 a year on his first job. At this school, 64 percent of students come from North America and 28 percent are form Asia.

    IE Business Schoo

    • The 2010 Businessweek rating of the best international business schools puts IE Business School, located in Madrid, Spain, third. The school's MBA program differentiates itself from that of other students by its emphasis on entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility. The one-year MBA program will cost you $68,900. The post-MBA pay stands at $101,000. About 90 percent of students are international, with 29 percent coming from Western Europe, 20 percent originating from Asia and 18 percent coming from Latin America and the Caribbean. Around 15 percent of IE Business School's students come from North America.

    ESADE

    • Businessweek named ESADE as the fourth-best international business school in the world. The school, located in Barcelona, Spain, offers a $68,000 one-year MBA degree and students can expect to earn about $82,000 post-MBA. Around 84 percent of all students are international. Of those, around 37 percent come from Western Europe while 18 are Latin American or Caribbean. The school prides itself on teaching teamwork to its students.
