The Islamic Teaching Schools For Adults
For those interested in the religion of Islam and Muslim culture, several schools around the country provide classes designed to accommodate the lifestyles of working adults. Interested adult students can study fundamentals of the Qu'ran, fundamentals of Islam and contemporary Muslim culture in addition to basic Arabic grammar. These program allow individuals to gain insight into the ancient and elaborate history of Islam.

Al-Farooq Masjid of Atlanta

Located in Atlanta, George, the Al-Farooq Masjid offers multiple classes in Qu'ran reading as well as discussions on Muslim culture and religious lifestyles. Classes range in length from 25 to 60 minutes. The majority of the classes are open to both men and women, with the only exception being the Qu'ran reading courses. Arabic language instruction is also offered on Sundays as part of a compilation of hour-long lectures held each weekend. Although enrollment in these courses is free, donations are accepted.
Islamic Education Center of Pennsylvania

Located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the Islamic Center of Pennsylvania offers adult education classes every Friday at 6 p.m. The Islamic Education Center also hosts a study group for women every Friday at 10 a.m. A daily prayer schedule is also available for Muslims seeking a place of worship. The Islamic Society of Central Florida

The Islamic Society of Central Florida is in Goldenrod, Florida and offers multiple classes including a basic introduction to the Qu'ran, basic Arabic, Islamic foundations and introductions to Usul Al-Fiqh, Aqidah and Fiqh Al-Hadith. Classes range in length from three to six hours are are taught by multiple instructors. The Islamic Society only accepts 25 students in each class, allowing adults aged 18 years and older. Prospective students can obtain more information through the Islamic Society's official website.
Nawawi Foundation

Located in Burr Ridge, Illinois, the Nawawi Foundation offers classes in traditional elements of Muslim religion in addition to contemporary studies on Muslim culture and lifestyles. The Nawawi Foundation also sponsors adult travel programs to global points of interest related to Islamic history. Islamic scholars are regularly invited to the "Scholar-In-Residence Program" and offered financial support in exchange for weekly lectures given to interested participants from around the Chicago area. The Nawawi Foundation operates off of donations and accepts financial contributions through their official website.
