Cinderella Wedding Themes
Brides who want a fairytale wedding can bring the spirit of Cinderella into their ceremony in several ways. Go all out and use the theme in all aspects of the wedding, or be more subtle and add just a few touches. Plan a Cinderella-themed wedding with the decor, your dress, the cake, the music and other elements.

All Aspects
-
Celebrate the entire Cinderella movie by incorporating something from each part of the movie into your wedding. Have your bridesmaid dresses reflect one of Cinderella's dresses from the movie. Arrive at your reception in a pumpkin carriage. Use the Cinderella soundtrack at the ceremony as well as the reception, and have the reception end at midnight like in the movie. Have a castle wedding cake or a traditional many-tiered cake. Walk down the aisle barefoot, and have your groom put glass slippers on your feet during the exchanging of the rings.
One Scene
-
Give your wedding a bit of the Cinderella theme by choosing just one scene from the movie, like the ballroom scene. Model your dress after the dress Cinderella wore to the ball where she met her prince. Send out invitations to your wedding in a scroll-form, much like the invitations were sent out for the ball. Or use the scene where Cinderella is transformed, and decorate with silver pumpkins, fairy wands, glitter and dark lighting. Use music at your reception from the one scene you choose.
-
Subtle
-
Give your wedding a Cinderella theme, but be subtle about it. Use colors like white, pale pink, pale blue and ivory to reflect the Cinderella movie. Decorate the reception like you are in the forest, with dark lighting, reflecting the scene when the fairy godmother transformed Cinderella for the ball. Wear a similar dress, or have your hair done in a similar way as Cinderella. Accent your dress with white gloves or glass slippers to add that subtle Cinderella touch.
Details
-
Whichever Cinderella theme you choose, it's all about the details. One of the more obvious details is incorporating a glass slipper somewhere into your ceremony or reception, whether you wear a pair of glass slippers on your feet or the ring bearer carries the rings down with a single glass slipper on a pillow. Use Jack and Gus Gus, Cinderella's animal friends, at the wedding cake table, or use them as table centerpieces. Use quotes from the movie in your vows, or write them on the wedding programs or the invitations.
