The Department of Conferences and Events at the International School of Hospitality offers a certificate in Conference Management and Event Planning. The school's goal is to give students "a firm understanding of how the industry operates and knowledge in the designing, planning, coordinating and executing phases of meetings, conferences, conventions, special events and trade shows." Courses include "Strategic Planning," "Marketing and Sponsorship," "Event Management and Coordination" and "Conventions Operations." Students can choose to attend courses at the school's campus in Las Vegas, or follow courses online.

The program consists of 20 lessons that can be completed online and two virtual internship projects with working event planners. Students in the program have access to the Sheffield School's faculty and are equipped with a personal student advisor to help along their way.

The QC School of Event and Wedding Planning is dedicated to providing students with a go-at-your-own-pace, at-home education program that culminates in an International Event and Wedding Planning Professional certification. The program consists of six units, each of which that contain courses ranging from "Primary Event Components" and "The Planning Budget," to "Marketing and Promotion" and "Religious Rites and Funerals." Students work at their own pace using the supplied course guide and lesson plans and can communicate with their personal tutors, should they have any questions.

The U.S. Career Institute's Online Wedding and Event Planning School offers a program that is broken down into five "Instruction Packs." Each instruction pack contains a set of six courses designed to progressively instruct the student in the event planning profession. Courses include "Event Details," Speakers, Sponsors and Teamwork," "Let's Get Together - Community Events" and "Get Me to the Church On Time - Coordinate the Wedding and Reception." Exams are completed at the pace of the student, and can be completed online, emailed, faxed or mailed in for scoring.
