Topeka, Kansas is located in the north east part of the state of Kansas and is the state's capital city. As of 2009, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population of Topeka to be at 124,331, and currently there are three major school districts in the area in addition to private schools and schools not associated with a district. Middle Schools in the Seaman School System

The Seaman School District is the largest school district in Topeka, and ten of its schools serve some middle school students.
Eight of these schools only serve the sixth grade (of the three middle school grades from sixth to eighth) and otherwise serve elementary level students.
