Naturopathic Medical Schools
Naturopathic medicine emphasizes the use of centuries-old natural remedies instead of conventional pharmaceuticals. Naturopathic physicians focus on the overall well-being of their patients and make attempts to find the original and underlying cause of a patient's illness. The physicians create remedies and regimens designed for the individual patient based on the individual's illness, history, symptoms and predisposition to recovery. The main six principles of naturopathic medicine are the healing power of nature, identify and treat the causes, first do no harm, doctor as teacher, treat the whole person, and prevention. Five U.S. naturopathic medicine schools are accredited by the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC).

The 35-acre campus is in a suburb only minutes away from Chicago. The school has a commitment to integrative medicine, a combination of both naturopathic and proven contemporary medicine. Students must complete a three-phase program to complete the naturopathic degree program at the National University of Health Sciencs. The program will take a minimum of five years and requires students to complete more than 250 credits of work.
