Pictures are great ways to preserve memories. You can purchase plain wooden picture frames at craft stores for low prices. Have Dad buy them ahead of time along with paint, wood markers or other mediums. Let the kids choose which picture they want to put in the frames they make and how they decorate them. Older kids can use this idea and make a collage of their favorite pictures of their mom and family.

Make a fleece tie blanket for Mom by selecting two equal sizes of fleece material in colors of her liking. Cut into the fabric every 1 inch by 2 inches.
