Fun Date Games
After those first few dates when everything is about excitement and getting to know each other, it sometimes can be difficult to find activities to keep the dating experience fresh. A game can be a good way to enjoy each other's company in a new way. Depending on the interests of you and your date, any of these games can enhance the experience of being in each other's company.

Cards
-
Everyone has a card game they enjoy and playing cards together can be a nice way to spend a night in after a few dates. The popularity of Texas Hold 'Em makes it a good game for a date, especially if you're looking for a group activity for a few couples. Organize a friendly home poker game with drinks and snacks. This can be a nice evening out for a few couples, or a convenient way to meet some of your date's friends for the first time. Cribbage, gin rummy or games like snap can be played when it's just the two of you.
Recreation
-
Sometimes, going outside and getting some fresh air and exercise can break up the "dinner and a movie" monotony. Golf is a game with a slow pace that allows you to take in some scenery while spending time together. If you're interested in a more physical or competitive way to spend the day, try go-carts, paint ball or laser tag.

Video Games
-
Games like Rock Band or Guitar Hero are energetic and can be entertaining options for a date. Games for movement-based systems like the Wii, the X-Box Kinect or Playstation Move involve more action than just sitting on the couch pushing buttons. A hardcore Call of Duty night might not be suitable for a date, but getting up, jumping around and making a fool of yourself can keep even the most casual gamer entertained on a date night.
Board Games
-
Many couples enjoy staying in for a board-game night as an alternative to going out on the town for an evening. Pick a game that is good for two people. Games like Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit can be entertaining with just two players, while other games require more people to play properly. Chess is a nice option if you both play. Battleship and Scrabble are also good options to keep in your games closet for date night. Also, you can shop at specialty board game stores where they sometimes sell date or adult-themed board games that can provide you with another date-night option.
