Autumn Wedding Flowers
Choosing flowers for autumn weddings is more difficult than for summer or spring weddings, especially since fewer flowers bloom in the fall. Fortunately, as a bride, you still have plenty of options. Whether you want a monochromatic bouquet or a colorful bunch, accent your autumn wedding with seasonally appropriate flowers.

Color
-
For a fall wedding, you should incorporate flowers with traditional autumn colors. These colors include dark red, orange, plum, brown and yellow. These colors, however, are not your only options. Simply find deep, rich hues for the season. You can combine deep shades like aubergine and plum with lighter colors, like cream and blush. If you want to break from the traditional colors but want to stay close, try different shades of traditional colors, such as mocha or cappuccino instead of chocolate.
Texture
-
When researching flowers for your bridal bouquet or centerpieces, remember that texture matters as much as color. And with deep, rich colors, you will want to add texture to break up the arrangement a little. Using two or three different types of flowers, instead of sticking to just one is one option. Adding accents like hypericum berries, ferns, or lotus pods creates an interesting look. Including poppies with dark centers into your arrangement provides an unmistakably autumn look.

Flowers
-
There are different types of flowers that fit perfectly into an autumnal arrangement. You could opt for classic flowers; in fact, you can purchase roses in any color that you want, including deep autumn tones. You could arrange together dark red dahlias and yellow/orange calla lillies with golden black-eyed Susans and orange roses. For a more natural bouquet, arrange an assortment of wildflowers, lillies, wallflowers and pink roses, all highlighted with hypercium berries.
Arrangements
-
Accents for flower arrangements include clusters of hypercium berries, green hydrangea blossoms, clover or ferns. These highlights will break up the richness of the autumnal colors. Adding rhinestones or pendants to the arrangement breaks up the colors, as well. Tie bouquets together with ribbon in colors, such as brown or pale yellow that complement the bouquet. If you plan to place the flowers in vases, colors like gold and brown provide options to traditional clear or white vases.
