Wedding Bump Hairstyles

Set your hair to add lift to your bump.

Finding the right wedding bump hairstyle can be daunting. Try out several styles before the wedding day to find the one that suits your tiara and wedding veil. The advantage to a bump is that it gives the tiara a natural base for attachment. Just remember to comb over the front section of hair, so the bump remains smooth. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Curls

    • Section off the front section of your hair from each corner of each forehead to before the ears. Pull the hair up and back tease it by combing down the hair shaft toward the roots. Bring the hair back down to the scalp and smooth your bangs over the teased portion. Secure the bump with a jeweled barrette. Wrap 2-inch sections of hair around the curling iron along the bottom sections of your hair. Finger comb the curls before applying hairspray to set the style.

    Bun

    • Lightly back tease the hair on top of your head by the crown. This adds height to the crown of your head. Comb the top section as you smooth it over the bump toward the nape of the neck. Sleek back the sides and gather all sections into a ponytail. Wrap the ponytail around itself to form a bun; secure it with bobby pins. Apply hairspray to keep your hair in place before adding the tiara or bridal veil just before the crown.

    Side Part Ponytail

    • Curl your hair in loose waves, then tease the crown to make a bump. Make a side part and pull the hair to one side, low and behind the ear. Gather it into a ponytail and allow it to tumble down the front. Pin a flower just before the ear as you tuck the stem into the ponytail elastic, or wrap a strand of crystals around the band and allow the strand to mingle through the long curls for sparkle. Place the tiara on the top of the head just before the bump.

    Straight Bob

    • Place 1-inch strands of hair through a straightening iron to remove all wave or curl from your hair. Starting at the crown, back tease the roots of the hair, working toward your forehead. Back tease the upper sections of both sides of the head. Apply hair spray to the hair. Create a high side part and lightly comb the hair over to one side. Attach a crystal barrette at the corner of the forehead. Lightly comb over the crown, gently lifting it to allow it to retain its bump. Slip the veil over your hair.
