Valentine Crafts for a Grandma From a Two-Year-Old
A handmade Valentine craft for Grandma shows appreciation and effort, and she'll undoubtedly love it. Most two-year-olds love to be hands-on when making crafts, and with the help of parents, the child can make Valentine's Day special for Grandma. Stick to simple and quick crafts to account for your little one's attention span.

Decorated Heart Pin
-
You can find the supplies for this adorable pin at most craft stores. You'll need a wooden heart, paint, hot glue, pin backing, fine-tip marker and colorful buttons. First, have your child paint the heart with her favorite Valentine's Day colors. Once the heart has dried, glue the pin backing on the opposite side of the heart. (Do this yourself.) After the glue has dried, have your child place the buttons on the pin and help you glue the buttons onto the heart. You can also write the child's name and the year on the back with a fine-tip marker. This pin will be a special gift for Grandma to wear on Valentine's Day.
Valentine Frame
-
Most grandmothers cherish pictures of their grandchildren, and a valentine-themed frame is an ideal way to showcase photos. You'll simply need a wooden picture frame found at most craft stores, along with paint, wood glue and decorative items such as buttons, sparkling stickers or ribbon. Find a favorite photo of your two-year-old -- maybe even one with Grandma. Help the child with painting and gluing items onto the frame. Once the frame has dried, place the photo inside.

Thumb-Body Loves You Craft
-
For this sweet Valentine's Day craft for two-year-olds, you'll need pink construction paper, scissors, black marker, red paint, glue and a flat wooden stirring stick. Trace a heart onto the pink construction paper, and cut it out. Write "Thumb-Body Loves You" in the center of the heart. Pour red paint onto a paper plate, and have your child place his thumbs into the paint and then press them onto the heart. He can do it as many times as he wants, placing his thumbs wherever he wants. Once the paint has dried, turn over the heart and write the child's name and date. Next, help your child glue the stirring stick onto the bottom of the back of the heart to complete the craft.
Heart Box
-
Give Grandma chocolate in a decorated heart box. Look for this type of box at craft stores, along with Valentine's Day-themed ribbon, craft jewels and paint. Help your two-year-old decorate the heart box with paint, craft jewels and glued-on ribbon. Write " I Love You, Grandma" on the back of the box, and add the child's name. Fill Grandma's box with a sweet treat by adding her favorite chocolate or candy.
