Bridal Gag Gifts
Gag gifts given to the bride can create a humorous evening, but given at the wrong time, gag gifts can inspire resentment and embarrassment. Gag gifts should ideally be given during the bridal shower or the bachelorette party. Ask those planning the party--or the bride herself--ahead of time about the bride's tastes, especially if you are giving her a risque gag gift. You may also give the gift to the bride in private.

Fill a decorated box with items such as a timer, whistle, decorative pens, a pad of paper and rope. Include descriptions with each of these items. You may include a description along with the pens such as, "For recording all of his wrong-doings when you get into a fight." A pad of paper may include a description such as, "So you can write out your thoughts and feelings when she does not want to listen to you anymore."

Purchase headbands, T-shirts, sweatshirts or another article of clothing that can be customized. Her shirt may read, "Bride-to-Be" while his shirt may read, "Cold feet-to-be." Alternatively, phrases like "Mrs. Always Right" and "Mr. Right" could be printed on gag gifts to be given to the bride and her husband.

Purchase a toy ball-and-chain for the bride to present to her husband on the wedding night. You could also purchase ball-and-chain toy wedding bands with the inscription, "In case the real wedding bands can't get the job done." Alter a poem about love or marriage so that the last line is humorous. Write something like, "Roses are red, violets are blue. How on Earth did I get stuck with a groom like you?" Assemble photos you have of the couple into a humorous comic strip.
