Geocaching
-
Guys are usually big into adventure so consider taking your date geocaching. Download a geocaching application onto your phone or computer. Find sites that are near you and write down the coordinates. Then, using a GPS or your phone, go searching for the hidden treasure. This date gives you plenty of time to talk, get to know each other and interact in a healthy manner. You also get to see how your date acts toward competition and if he is a team player as geocaching inspires both of those qualities.
Picnic
-
Take your date on a special picnic. A picnic to the park is nice, but for a simple yet exciting date, take your date on a picnic on top of a tall building, a local zoo or a racing track. If you know your date enjoys camping, heat up some hot dogs and put them in some tin foil, then grab a bag of chips and some soda. Take him to a favorite camping spot and enjoy the day hiking, playing card games and skipping rocks. If you are feeling really adventurous, pick your date up before dawn and drive to a camping or hiking spot that gives you a good view of the impending sunrise. This date is simple to plan and the effort you put into it will be appreciated.

Theme Night
-
Plan a night in Italy without leaving your home. Decorate your home to look like an Italian restaurant or villa. Have fun with this and make it as silly as you want. Set up a cardboard table covered with a white tablecloth and ask one of your friends to be your waiter for the night. If your friend is really into it, he can act the part of a French or Italian waiter by dressing up and using an accent. Order Italian take-out food ahead of time and have it served to you and your date. Add a glass of wine and enjoy hours of conversation.
Amusement Park
-
Taking your date to an amusement park or fair grounds is a simple idea that goes a long way in keeping both of you entertained. For added enjoyment, try choosing a time or season for this when the park won't be as crowded. This may mean going when it is is cold or rainy, but those factors may make the date even more romantic if you get to bundle up together. A zoo or a wild animal park is another place to consider if you do not have access to an amusement park.
