Navy & Pink Wedding Colors
The old wedding adage, "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue," ties in with the wedding color palette that includes navy blue; add pink for a touch of femininity. When using two vastly different colors like blue and pink, one color should become the centerpiece with the other being a complementary or "pop" color. Since both colors are bold, using too much of both will cause them to compete against each other rather than complement each other.

Attire
-
The wedding attire is perhaps the clearest sign of the bride's wedding color palette, as the bridesmaid dresses and tuxedo vests and ties typically reflect these colors. Since navy is the bolder of the two colors, use navy blue as the strong color choice and pink as an accent. Choose bridesmaid dresses in a shimmery navy blue. Add a sash or flower to the waist of the dress in a soft pink. You could also have the bridesmaids wear shoes in a soft pink. The bride can tie in her "something blue" as well as complement the bridal party by wearing navy blue heels with her wedding dress.
Flowers
-
Flowers are a simple and easy way to blend together wedding color palettes. Blue hydrangea or blue iris flowers will mesh well with pink roses or lilies. You could also choose one color for the flower centerpieces, such as pink, and incorporate the navy blue into the vase itself, or by tying a navy blue ribbon around the vase. For the bridal bouquets, tie in the bouquets with the pop color. For example, if the pop color is pink, choose a primarily pink bouquet with a few hints of blue blooms. The groomsmen's boutonnieres should reflect the color choices of the bridal bouquets.

Table Linens
-
Choose a patterned table cloth that incorporates both navy blue and pink. A floral or patterned printed tablecloth will have a vintage and rustic chic appeal. Set each guest's place with alternating navy blue and pink napkins. You could also alternate the chair sashes or bows between navy blue and pink. Only alternate colors, however, if the main table linen, the table cloth, is a blend of both colors. If the table cloth is a solid navy blue, for example, the accessory linens such as the napkins and sashes will be the complementing color, pink.
Favors
-
Incorporate the wedding color palette into the favors as well. If you are offering a candy bar, choose pink and blue candies to fill the containers. This could include gum drops, jelly beans and candy-coated chocolates, for example. If you are giving traditional favors utilize the wedding colors in the wrapping. For example, wrap pink boxes with a navy blue ribbon.
