Give fun party favors when you throw a birthday party.

When you are throwing a children's birthday party, it is typical to hand out goody bags to your guests when the party is over. But creating different kinds of goody bags can get difficult, so consider giving a different kind of party favor than a goody bag. Lots of different party favors can work for kid's birthday parties. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. T-Shirt

    • Let the children make their own T-shirts as a craft during the party. Give the kids each a white T-shirt, fabric paints, rhinestones and different items that they can use to decorate their shirts. Do this activity at the beginning of the party so that the shirts have time to dry before the end of the party. Then let the kids take the T-shirts home as their party favor.

    Flower Pot

    • When you are hosting a party during the springtime, consider choosing a garden party favor. Give each child a clay flower pot. You can even let them paint a design on the flower pot during the party. When the pots are dry, place a packet of seeds inside the pot, along with a pair of gardening gloves.

    CD

    • Consider giving your birthday party guests a CD at the end of the party. Use the music you have downloaded onto your computer and create burned CDs for your party guests. For example, when you are throwing a themed party for your child, such as a 1960s party, create a CD that is filled with music from that era. Choose all sorts of children's music for a CD made for small kids.

    Picture

    • For a creative party favor idea, give each child a picture and a picture frame at the end of a party. Set up an area at the party, like a bale of hay and a pumpkin for a harvest party, and take each child's picture when they arrive at the party. Have another adult at the party help you connect the camera to a printer and print out all of the pictures during the party. Then place the pictures into picture frames and give them to the children at the end of the party.
