Wedding Shower Crafts
Planning a wedding shower, also known as a bridal shower, can be a daunting task. Deciding on a theme, location and guest list for the shower can be difficult enough, but figuring out a reasonable budget for the shower can be the biggest challenge. Consider all of the food, beverages, decorations, invitations, games and favors, and it really adds up. There are money-saving options available, though. Throw a personalized, inexpensive wedding shower by making homemade crafts.

Towel Cake
-
Create a towel cake centerpiece for the wedding shower, which doubles as a stunning decoration and a gift for the bride. Purchase two sets of towels in a color suiting the bride's taste. Use two bath towels, two hand towels and two washcloths. Fold the first bath towel in half the long way and roll it up. Roll the second bath towel around the first one. Repeat this with the hand towels and washcloths; these are the three "layers" of the cake. Tie a ribbon around each layer, and top the cake with a rose bloom. Sprinkle rose petals on the cake and the table around it for added detail.
Ribbon Bouquet
-
Put all of the decorative ribbons and bows from the bridal shower gifts to good use by creating a ribbon and bow bouquet for the bride to carry on the day of the rehearsal. Take a paper plate and punch a small hole through the center. As the bride opens her gifts, thread the ribbons through the hole in the plate to form a bouquet. Staple or tape bows to the plate, adding as many as you can. Save this bouquet for the bride to carry at the rehearsal.

Potpourri Favors
-
Create inexpensive, easy favors for the wedding shower by making potpourri favors. Purchase two or three different scents of potpourri from a craft store or a dollar store; smell them before you buy them to make sure they have an appealing aroma. Purchase fabric netting from a craft store in three different colors (to correspond with the different scents of potpourri). Wrap a cup of potpourri in a piece of netting. Finish by tying the top with a piece of decorative ribbon to match or complement the color of the netting.
Banner
-
Make a personalized banner to display at the bridal shower by purchasing banner paper from an art supply store of buying it online. Use a pencil to draw out the name of the bride and groom in cursive writing, centered on the banner. Take a dark-colored marker and trace the letters. Hang the banner at the front of the room where the shower is taking place, and surround it with streamers and balloons at the corners.
