July is a popular month for weddings.

July is a popular month for weddings, because couples like to take advantage of the warm weather. It is ideal for those wanting an outdoor wedding ceremony. There are many wedding themes that fit right in with the hot summer month, ranging from patriotic to cultural to elegant. Each idea can be adjusted to fit an indoor or an outdoor venue and to match the couple's personal taste.

  1. English Garden

    • The English garden theme is sweet and delicate; it takes advantage of all the flowers that are in bloom during July. The beauty of this theme is that you are not confined to one or two color combinations. You can incorporate as many as five or six color schemes, such as shades of pink, purple, white, yellow and red. This theme is perfect for brunch or afternoon weddings. You can expand on the English garden theme by replacing alcohol with tea and finger foods; have a tea party as guests wait for brunch to be served.

    4th of July

    • You can have a patriotic 4th of July wedding theme complete with a red, white and blue wedding cake and sparklers. A fun touch would be to have a live band playing a mix of patriotic songs, as well as modern day favorites. To end the evening, you can finish with a bang by incorporating a firework show for the guests to enjoy. If you live near the water, look into having the ceremony on a boat or near the waterfront to make the firework show dramatic and memorable. For flowers, you can use a combination of red and white roses accented with a touch of shimmery, blue glitter.

    Beach

    • If you are lucky enough to live near the coast, a beach-themed outdoors wedding takes advantage of the warm summer air and beautiful floral arrangements. If outdoors isn't quite your style, you can take the event indoors by erecting a large white tent lit with Christmas lights and candles. For a night ceremony, the tent can be sheer so that guests can enjoy star gazing. For the beach theme, you can incorporate lots of natural elements into the decor, such as sea shells and sand.

    Hawaiian Luau

    • A Hawaiian luau provides a fun experience for your guests. You can hire hula, Polynesian and fire dancers for entertainment; you may even opt to provide child and adult hula classes for a truly interactive experience. For the decor, stick with bold and strong colors, such as deep shades of purple, red, orange, yellow and brown. As guests enter the venue, a hula dancer can grace them with a lei made from hibiscus, orchid or plumeria flowers.
