The Best Wedding Gown Designs
Choosing a wedding dress can be overwhelming, as not only is it expensive, it may be the only wedding dress you'll ever wear. Different designs suit different figures, so it's important to buy one that suits your style and your body.

A-Line Dresses
-
The classic a-line dress has a fitted bodice and a flared skirt. The flared skirt hides wider hips without accentuating them, and adds curves to the more narrow hips. If you have a smaller bust, you may need some padding to equal out the top and bottom.
Ball Gown Dresses
-
The ball grown is a big dress with lots of volume and a fitted bodice. It works well for those with fuller busts, to balance out the size of the skirt, but it isn't good for those with wider hips, as the full skirt may make your hips appear larger.
-
Column Dresses
-
The column is fitted both top and bottom, and has a straight fitted skirt. It is an ideal style if you are tall and willowy, and also helpful for making the petite woman appear taller. But this style is not good for those with bigger hips.
Empire Dresses
-
The empire dress is fitted only until the bust, and then the skirt falls from under the bust past the hips, with no waist. This style works well for those with bigger waists and smaller busts, as the unfitted style hides the waist and accentuates the bust, but it isn't ideal for very tall women or very full busted women.
Mermaid Dresses
-
The mermaid dress is very tightly fitted until the mid thigh or knee, then it flares outwards. This dress will accentuate an hourglass figure, hugging the smaller waist, but does not work well for those with bigger hips or those who have no curves.
