Puppy Crafts for Kids
Kids can enjoy crafts any time of the day, especially on rainy days. Puppy crafts delight young dog lovers, and many are very simple to do. Kids enjoy stretching their imagination to see what kind of things they can use to create puppy crafts. Some crafts may require a purchase, but substitutes can work well.

Soda Pop Puppy
-
Remove the tab from an empty soda can. Crush the can in a way where the top part is flat over the bottom part, which should spread out like the "body" of your puppy. Paint the can brown using brown acrylic paint. Paint the "tongue" on your can using pink acrylic paint. Once all paint is dry, spray the entire can with acrylic spray and let dry completely. Attach a red felt tongue to the pink area with craft glue, brown felt ears to the top of the round area, a tiny black pom-pom for the nose and googly eyes.
Clothespin Puppy
-
Take four pinch-style wooden clothespins and draw brown dots all over them using a brown marker. Insert the bottom part of one clothespin into the clamp of another, where the clamp closes right behind the metal spring, and add wood glue to the top edges of that clamp. Add glue to the outside edges on the clamp of another clothespin and insert it inside the clamp of a fourth clothespin, right next to the metal so the clothespin won't close all the way. Let dry completely. Take the first clothespin pairing and insert it into the open clamp, with the end holding the clothespin sticking out to resemble the puppy's head. Add glue to either edge at the top of that clamp. Add a strip of brown felt to create floppy ears, small round brown felt to create "paws," and googly eyes and a small black pom-pom to make the nose.

Paper Bag Puppy
-
Cut a large circle from white construction paper, floppy ears and a tail from brown construction paper, a small tongue from pink construction paper and a round nose from black construction paper. Take a lunch-size paper bag and fold up the lower edges. Glue them behind the large flap. Add the white circle to the bottom part of the lunch bag under the flap, in the center. Add the floppy ears to the top edges, the tail to the back of the bag and the tongue and nose on the "face" area. Glue googly eyes to the area above the nose. If you don't have googly eyes, cut out small round eyes from black construction paper and glue them in place.
Toilet Paper Roll Puppy
-
Clean any remaining toilet paper patches from a used toilet paper roll. Cut small paws, floppy ears and a long tail from brown felt or construction paper. Cut a tongue from pink felt or pink construction paper. If you don't have googly eyes, cut out small dot eyes from black construction paper. Cut one bigger round dot from the black construction paper to create the nose. Glue everything onto the toilet paper roll, adding the tail at the top part of the rear end and the tongue on the lower part of the front end. Glue the eyes to the top part, along with the nose.
Paper Plate Puppy
-
Cut brown floppy ears from brown construction paper. Cut a tongue from pink construction paper. From black construction paper, cut eyes and a round nose. Glue the ears onto either edge of the the top part of your paper plate. Glue the eyes and nose onto the round face area. Glue the tongue onto the bottom edge of the plate. If desired, use a black or brown marker to draw whiskers, eyebrows and spots on your puppy face.
