Locks of Love is an non-profit organization that collects hair and makes hairpieces for children in the United States and Canada who are suffering from long-term hair loss due to medical conditions such as cancer. Crops for Girls Salon is located in New York City and is a Locks of Love participating salon. Free haircuts are provided to women who plan to donate their cut hair to Locks of Love. Hundreds of pony tails are sent from Crops for Girls every year. This salon specializes in women's short haircuts and will give free haircuts to women who come in with long hair to get a short hairstyle or are willing to let the stylist give you the cut he thinks would look good on you. Appointments are available seven days a week from 10 a.m to 8 p.m.

Next Salon has been located in Santa Monica since 1988 and has 10 stylists, two nail technicians, an esthetician and three epilators. Their specialty is Japanese hair straightening and hair color restoration. Next Salon is a supporter of Locks of Love and offers a $10 discount to clients who have a minimum of 10 inches of hair that they would like to have cut and donated. Donated hair can be permed or colored but cannot be bleached or have any chemical damage. The salon is open seven days a week, Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Cartoon Cuts is a chain of hair salons that caters to families and children and feature video games in the styling stations and waiting areas. Some of the services offered include kids, babies and adult haircuts, ear piercing, hair styling, color treatments and perms. Cartoon Cuts has partnered with Locks of Love to provide hair to children in need. Anyone who donates 10 inches of hair or more on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will receive a free haircut. Cartoon Cuts has locations in Maryland, Illinois, Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas and Virginia.

Salon Papillon is a salon located in Des Peres, Missouri, that participates in the Locks of Love program. If you have 10 inches of hair or more that gets cut, they will send it off to Locks of Love on your behalf. Services offered include women's, men's and children's haircuts and styling, hair coloring, hair texturing, hair removal, nail services, facials and massages. Makeovers and package deals are available as well. Appointments are available on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but they are closed on Sundays.
