Melt Art Models
-
Melt Art's Mold 'n' Pour compound mixture allows would-be sculptors to create lifelike models of nearly anything. The compound mixture comes in a blister pack of two separate putties --one purple and one white -- which harden when mixed together into a solid substance useful for making molds. The compound takes ten minutes to fully harden, giving the user ample time to dip a small object, such as a toy, into the compound, leaving the imprint of the object in the drying mixture. When completely dry, this mold can be used to create a model of the object in almost any medium, it will even withstand the extreme temperatures required to bake clay in an oven.
3D Pictures
-
The texture of Melt Art beeswax makes it ideal for creating amazing three-dimensional pictures. Begin by sketching the outlines of your picture on paper with a pencil and then melt your beeswax in the melting pot. RangerInk.com recommend not letting the melting wax exceed 300 degrees or be left unattended as beeswax can be flammable. Once the wax has melted, paint it on to your paper, using the disparity between thick and thin coatings of wax to create different shadows and textures.

Dyeing Melt Art Projects
-
Melt Art have a range of beeswax dyes for dyeing your beeswax or embossing enamel projects. These dyes are available in two sets; a primary colors set - including red, yellow and blue -- and a hot colors set, with magenta, orange and green dyes. These dyes can be mixed together to produce a whole array of other colors and come with needle point applicators which allow users to apply as little as one drop to the beeswax mixture, for true control over the level of color added to the beeswax.
Melt Art Collages
-
The slow drying nature of Melt Art beeswax makes it ideal for use in collage making. Create the base for the collage by painting a layer of beeswax on to paper. If you wish to add any dyes to the project, now is the best time to do it as Melt Art dye is more effective when the wax is at a higher temperature. Once a layer of wax is spread across the paper, press any objects that you wish to form the collage into it; these can include shells, gem-stones, photographs or any other significant object you wish to include in your collage.
