Baseball Hand-Painted Wall Murals Ideas
For baseball fans, there might be no better wall decoration than a hand-painted mural celebrating America's pastime. A baseball mural can be a fun addition to a bedroom, family room or game room, and is an ideal way to show your devotion to a particular team or the game in general. When trying to come up with an idea for your mural, consider the room that it will be placed in, the amount of detail you prefer and whether you want to freehand the mural or use stencils. Does this Spark an idea?

Baseball Equipment
-
Covering a wall with images of baseball equipment is a fun and easy hand-painted mural idea. It is an ideal option if you are not an experienced mural painter because most of the shapes are easy to freehand and you can even find stencils at craft stores that fit the theme. If you plan to paint the mural freehand, find images of baseballs, bats, mitts, caps and bases online and use them as templates for your mural. The background wall should be painted a color other than white because the balls and bases will likely be painted white. You could go with an off-white or cream color or take a color from your favorite baseball team's uniform for a bolder look.
Dugout
-
For a game room, creating a hand-painted mural of a baseball dugout might be a fun option. This type of mural requires more painting skill than the equipment mural, but it can be a wonderful backdrop for the seating area or bar in your game room. Find an image of a dugout to use an inspiration. If you want a truly authentic look, consider tracking down a photo of the dugouts at your favorite team's stadium and copy its look for your wall. It might also be fun to add a row or two of seats behind the dugout if your wall is large enough.

Scoreboard
-
For a personalized hand-painted baseball mural idea, a scoreboard is an ideal option. A scoreboard mural works well in a child's bedroom because you can include his name and number on the board as the player who is up at bat. Scoreboard stencils are available from some online craft websites, but you can also paint the mural freehand to mimic the look of the scoreboard at your local stadium. Instead of your name or a family member's name, you might also use your favorite player's name on the scoreboard for a fun touch.
Team Uniform
-
Another fun and relatively easy hand-painted baseball mural takes inspiration from your favorite team's uniform. You can recreate the look of the team jersey on your wall or simply paint the logo in the center with stripes in the team colors on either side. For example, if you are a New York Yankees fan, consider painting navy blue pinstripes on the wall with the interlocking NY in the center. If you prefer the Boston Red Sox, consider painting red stripes with the famous red stocking in the center. If you are not confident in your ability to capture your favorite team's logo freehand, find an image of the logo and have it made into a transparency. Using an overhead projector, project the image onto the wall and trace it with a pencil before filling in with paint.
