Fall Wedding Colors
Wedding colors often follow a seasonal trend lasting the whole year. However, some colors are more often associated with a season, such as summer or fall. Just as summer weddings bring thoughts of warm breezes and bright colors, autumn weddings are connected to turning leaves and the warm feeling that sipping cider brings. It is a season for rich colors that exude warmth and luxury, and it is natural to want to include the colors of the season in your color scheme. Mixing colors from various palettes works best for this season as opposed to simply picking one shade.

Reds
-
Reds work well all year-round, but are an especially good choice for fall as they are reminiscent of the fall harvest. Apple red, cherry red, burgundy and every shade in between evoke warmth and exuberance, making any shade of red an eye-catching choice. As fall covers such a broad spectrum of change, the shade you use can get deeper as the season gets cooler; this can be true for any color. Red also makes an excellent accent color.
Metallics
-
Copper, bronze and gold are the best metallic colors to use for a fall wedding as they are warmer than silver and go well with the colors of the season. Using metals as an accent, especially with earth tones, can make any wedding glamorous and make it seem as though you spent a lot on decorations even if you didn't. Metallic colors don't always suit every skin tone, so you are better off using it as an accent color in the bridal party dresses.

Earth Tones
-
Earth tones can create a neutral backdrop for a punchy accent color such as orange or crimson. Chocolate brown is a deep color that creates a rich ambiance in decor. Be careful not to use too much of it, though, as it can easily make the setting seem too dark. Taupe, mocha, wheat, beige and lighter shades of brown are all earthy colors that are easy to work with. Grays, tans and some shades of green are also considered earth tones as they are readily found in nature.
Other Colors
-
Having a fall wedding really opens up the palette when it comes to color, as there are no shortage of shades you can incorporate into your theme. Sage green, marigold and darker shades of pink all work well as autumn colors. Orange and shades within the orange family, such as pumpkin and rust, are especially suitable as well. Many shades of blue, such as navy, sapphire and royal blue, mixed with other colors looks quite elegant, as do mauve and aubergine.
