LDS Wedding Anniversary Ideas
Wedding anniversaries are a time for LDS couples to celebrate the love they have as husband and wife and renew the promises they have made to each other. Make the day special with romantic activities that are centered around recreating your story and reflecting on your current relationship. Take the time away from your busy schedules to celebrate each other and your marriage.

Recreate Your Beginnings
-
Recreate your first date together to bring some of the magic and romance back into your marriage. Take your spouse to the restaurant, movie or activity that you went to on your first date. Write letters to each other beforehand detailing what you felt about them then and now. Exchange letters during the date. This anniversary activity will help you and your spouse remember why and how you fell in love. During the date, visit the places where you shared other firsts together such as a first meeting, first kiss and proposal.
Plant a Tree
-
Purchase a tree and plant it in your yard to symbolize the strength of your marriage. Together, you can watch the tree grow, develop and become stronger each year. It will be a reminder of how your marriage has grown from a new and exciting beginning, to a strong and stable relationship. The health of the tree will remind you of the love you have for each other. As you have kids, the tree will come to represent the family tree that you have begun. It will become a living, tangible symbol of your lives together.

Candlelight Dinner
-
Spend a quiet, romantic evening at home together. Cook a favorite meal together and eat it by candlelight. Play romantic music in the background while you eat, talk and reconnect. After dinner, share a bottle of sparkling cider while looking through wedding photos and re-watching videos of your wedding day. Share the top 10 things that you love about each other.
Family Portraits
-
Celebrate your anniversary by having a portrait taken of you as a couple. Recreate poses from your wedding photos. Have your rings cleaned beforehand and have the photographer take a picture of them while you are holding hands. Also have family pictures taken that include any children or grandchildren so that you can see how your family has grown. Have the pictures framed and hung in a prominent place in your home for display.
