Unique Bridal Shower Games That Involve Guests
If you or someone you know has recently gotten engaged, you are probably excited about throwing a memorable bridal shower party. Bridal showers traditionally have included only female guests, but that trend is changing as couples are often invited to share in the bride-to-be's joy. No matter who you invite to your bridal shower, including a variety of games ensures that your guests will never be bored. Does this Spark an idea?

Favorite Memories
-
When sending out invitations to the bridal shower, include a blank index card with each one. On the invitation, instruct the guest to write down one of their favorite memories that they shared with the bride-to-be. At the bridal shower, have all of the guests place their memory cards in a bag. Ask the bride to draw the memory cards out of the bag and read them aloud. She then must guess the name of the guest who wrote that memory. After the game is over, the host of the shower can compile all of the memories into a keepsake scrapbook for the bride.
Purse Treasure Hunt
-
This game is ideally played with an all-female bridal party. Before the game, write a list of things that might be found inside of a woman's purse. Include common items such as makeup, a brush, tissues and a cell phone. Assign each of these items a point value, such as two points for the makeup or five points for tissues. You also can write a few fairly uncommon items on the list, such as candy or a bottle of hairspray. During the game, instruct each guest to look in their purse to find the items on the list. As they find an item on the list, have them write down its point value. The person with the highest total points at the end wins.

Don't Say "Bride"
-
As guests arrive at the bridal shower, hand each one a clothespin and instruct them to pin the clothespin on their clothing. Tell all of the guests that no one is allowed to say "bride" during the event. If one of the guests hears another saying "bride," they must collect that person's clothespin. At the end of the party, the person with the most clothespins wins the game. If desired, you can substitute "bride" for any other word, such as "wedding," "party" or "fiance."
Memory Games
-
About 30 minutes after the bridal shower has started, have the bride leave the room. Hand each guest a pen and piece of paper, and ask them to write down all the details they can remember about the bride's outfit and appearance that day. Have them include details such as the color of her lipstick, type of jewelry worn and which shoes she was wearing. The person with the most correct details wins. Similarly, you can place a tray full of about 20 wedding-related objects in the middle of a room. Let guests observe the tray for about one to two minutes, then remove it. The person who can remember the most items wins.
