Curly Bridal Updo Hairstyles
-
Whether your hair is naturally curly or you have to add the curl, an updo is the most common way to wear hair on the wedding day. Pulling the hair high to the back of your head and then securing it with a rubber hair band is the base of many updo styles. You can curl it tightly, pinning the curls into place to create a bun that is either neat or a little wild.
The advantage of pinning the curls is that you can place them where you want them on the bun. Leaving some extra hair hanging down from the nape of the neck and framing the face, leaves the option for spiral tendrils to hang. An updo is elegant with or without a veil or headpiece.
Curly Fall Bridal Hairstyle
-
The fall hairstyle is also elegant and always in style. Again, the start of the hairstyle is the hair gathered into a high ponytail on the top of the head toward the back. Use styling products, such as mouse or sculpturing gel to tame naturally curly hair. Hot rollers or a curling iron with a style-freezing hairspray is needed for straight or wavy hair to create curls of all lengths and sizes.
A chic finish to the fall is separating a portion of the ponytail and winding it around the base of the ponytail, hiding the rubber hair band. With the fall, some hair can also be left out to create tendrils.

Natural and Wild Curly Bridal Hairstyle
-
The natural style complements a low-cut dress where no headpiece or veil is used. It is a simple style perfect for long, medium or short hair. Styling products like curl enhancer for naturally curly hair or sculpting foam or mouse for straight or wavy hair will be needed.
The curls are enhanced or created with a curling iron or rollers, either conventional or hot. Once the rollers are removed, simply shake out the hair, leaving it full and natural looking. The final touches are done with sculpting gel or paste to shape the curls framing the face.
Half and Half-Curly Bridal Hairstyle
-
The half and half style is exactly what the name says it is. Half of the hair is put up and half of it is down. This style is achieved by curling the hair or rolling it with hot or conventional rollers. After removal of the rollers, section the hair so all of the hair from about the level of the top of the ears is pulled up to the top of the head and secured either with a hair clip, barrette or hair comb.
Use styling products to groom the curls, placing them wherever you would like. Hairpins can be strategically placed to keep some curls in place while the rest flows freely from this two-level hairstyle. This hairdo is good for long or medium hair.
Curly Bridal Style for Short Hair
-
Short hair can be difficult to work with, but not impossible when it comes to a curly hairstyle for a wedding. Using styling products like sculpting gel helps when applied to the hair prior to curling. For very short hair, a 1/2-inch barrel curling iron to create tight ringlets in the hair. Start by sectioning the hair with hair clips so you work with only a little section at a time.
It can take a long time to curl the hair this way, however, the result is well worth the effort. Once the curls are done, use fingers to arrange the curls. This style works well with a flower worn in the hair, or a hair clip placed strategically. Styling the hair this way is very retro chic.
