The flowers the bride holds during her ceremony can get further attention on the reception tables.

Many brides look for practical and economical options when planning their wedding, especially with the flowers. One way to do this is to reuse the bouquets the bridesmaids and the bride carry during the ceremony. With the exception of wedding photos and the tossing of the bridal bouquet, the bouquets are often cast aside without further use after the ceremony. Showcase the beauty of the floral bouquets---and save money on additional arrangements---by having the bouquets double as table centerpieces at the reception.

  1. Head Table and Guest Tables

    • After the wedding photos are complete, have water-filled vases on the tables ready to receive the bridal bouquets. Place the bouquet of the bride on the sweetheart table or in the center of the bridal party table. Place the vases with the bridesmaids' bouquets on the tables of the wedding party or on various guest tables. This will enable your guests to inspect the bouquets from the comfort of their own tables and will allow the bouquets to be showcased far past the ceremony.

    Extra Locations

    • Utilize the bridal bouquets to add extra flowers where it was not in your budget to provide arrangements. Place the bouquets in vases on the bar, on fireplace mantles or on ledges and room dividers that would have otherwise stood bare. Guests will be impressed at the vast amounts of flowers in the room, and it will not even make a dent in your budget.

Place Card, Wedding Cake and Buffet Tables

    • Choose a highlight table and create an impressive splash of color and flowers by reusing the bridal bouquets. For example, position the bouquets scattered amidst the place cards on the place card table. Place the bouquets in vases and create a ring of flowers around the wedding cake. Position the flowers in a row between the trays and platters on the buffet table or around the guest sign-in book.

    Decorating the Centerpieces

    • Place a waterproof light in the bottom of the vases used to hold the bridal bouquets and coat the bottom of the vases with glittering gemstones or beads. Place the flowers in the vases over all the decorations and set them on guest tables. The sparkling illumination will draw special attention to the reused bridal bouquets.
