For instance, incoming freshmen admission requirements involve an application, submission of high school transcripts, a maritime supplemental application, letters of recommendation and standardized test scores such as SAT scores. Marine engineering colleges have different standardized test score requirements. For example, SUNY Maritime College requires students to write a personal essay and have an SAT minimum score of 500 in math and 500 in critical reading or an ACT minimum score of at least a 22.
