Autumn colors are a great inspiration for fall wedding flowers.

Shades of orange, red and yellow cover the countryside. The air is crisp and cool but the sun still hangs in the sky. It's a beautiful time of the year, and it's no wonder that many brides choose to get married in this colorful season. There are many choices for autumn wedding decor. Consider a few ideas for floral decoration for this special time of the year.

  1. Wedding Arch

    • Make an entrance in an arch of dried leaves and fall-colored flowers. Use daisies, sweet Williams and colorful mums in your arch for a fun and fall look. Twist grapevines in the arch along with twinkling Christmas lights and some amber-colored satin ribbon. The arch makes for a theme-inspired focal point for the reception or ceremony venue.

    Bouquet Centerpieces

    • Floral bouquets make beautiful centerpieces for reception tables. Add autumn leaves to the arrangement to add volume and color. Autumn leaves can be gathered in your own backyard for a beautiful and free decoration. Add a brown satin bow to the bouquet and scatter amber-colored river rocks around the base to add a twinkle to your arrangement.

    Pumpkin Decorations

    • For something distinctly autumn, carve out pumpkins and fill with fall leaves and orange, yellow and red flowers. The mini calla lily in the burnt orange and flame hues are particularly festive for fall. Hydrangea is another classic fall flower. These inexpensive pumpkin arrangements look festive as buffet table decorations or could be used as centerpieces on each table at the reception.

    Flower Garland and Table Runner

    • One way to infuse color into your wedding ceremony and reception is through a floral garland that doubles as a table runner. A garland of hypericum berry, orange unique rose and gerber daisy will bring color to a ceremony area as it is draped around an arch or swagged on a wall. Take it down and put it down the center of a buffet table at a reception. Using the same decorations for ceremony and reception is economical and adds continuity to the day.
