Consider a globe for a Christmas wedding centerpiece.

A centerpiece adds interest to your table as it brings in your wedding colors. One that combines the colors of Christmas with themed items of the season will bring a smile to guests' faces as they associate the happy holiday with your wedding occasion. Consider a pattern for fabrics or combining the cool iciness of the winter setting to your centerpiece for a little more variety.

  1. Santa

    • Rather than use an ordinary vase for your flower arrangement, consider a themed one, such as Santa's sleigh. Insert cut plant foam to snuggle inside the sleigh and add a profusion of deep red roses with an abundant grouping of evergreens. Tie pattern ribbon of Santa or use solid green and red ribbon twisted together and weave the ribbon around the edges of the sleigh and into the greenery. Flock faux snow around the sleigh with some tiny reindeer up front to complete the centerpiece.

    Elegant

    • Go for an elegant centerpiece as you place an ice carved wedding bell in the center of the table and surround it with bright red and white pomander balls of varying sizes. Choose from red flowers, such as roses, carnations, chrysanthemums, gomphrena or gladiolus, to make the balls, while some white flower you might like include roses, eupatorium, ranunculus or peony. Group the flower balls together by color and elevate some on a cake plate, while others remain on the table.

    Tree

    • A small collection of faux Christmas trees with the wedding colors brings in the wedding and holiday theme as does a small LED Christmas tree which lights up and is surrounded by Christmas photographs of the wedding couple. Or, design your own Christmas tree composed entirely of graduated, sparkling, round ornaments threaded onto a wire pedestal and elevated on cake plates. For all tree displays, wrap up the wedding favors as gifts and place them under the tree with the seating name on the gift.

    Miscellaneous

    • A wedding bell turned to its side holding a single red calla lily makes a good centerpiece as does an angel vase with a pocket behind it that holds flowers, such as orchids, peonies or tulips. A snowman vase may contain bells of Ireland, stonecrop or the Christmas rose. Candle scapes may be designed of the nativity scene or create a Christmas town with Santa, elves, reindeer and snowmen candles. Flower candles may substitute for live ones.
