Finding Large Cap Stocks
-
Large cap stocks are those that have a total market value, known as market capitalization, in the billions of dollars. While there is now universal definition of large cap companies, investors often use $10 billion as a minimum value for large cap stocks. You can use stock screeners to set the minimum and maximum values of companies you wish to screen. Setting the minimum value at $10 billion will screen all large cap stocks.

Screening for Dividends
-
Dividend payments are commonly expressed as a percentage known as dividend yield. For example, a 3 percent dividend yield indicates a company that pays shareholders 3 percent of the stock value as a regular dividend. The higher the dividend yield, the higher your payout when dividends are offered. You can set a minimum dividend yield in an online stock screener. The results will only display stocks that exceed the yield you set.
Combining Screens for Large Cap and High Dividend Yield.

The results will display all high yield, large cap stocks. A typical screen will results in more than 100 stocks and can include dividend yields well above 10 percent.
